Taylor Swift’s new song “Today Was A Fairytale” was released yesterday, January 19, on iTunes. Taylor wrote the song and it is so much like her previous song “Love Story.” It’s the first single from the “Valentine’s Day” Original Motion Picture Soundtrack under Big Machine Records, along with her other single “Jump Then Fall”. The “Valentine’s Day” soundtrack which will be out in stores on February 9, includes “Stay Here Forever” by Jewel, “Cupid” by Amy Winehouse, “The way You Look Tonight” by Maroon 5, “4 and 20″ by Joss Stone, “Somebody To Love” by Leighton Meester, and many more.
“Today Was A Fairytale” is already on the No. 1 spot on iTunes “Top Songs.” The song is expected to become one of the chart busters this year.
Taylor is also part of the “Valentine’s Day” film along with other big stars like Julia Roberts, Jessica Alba, Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Biel, Kathy Bates, and many more. It is directed Garry Marshall and will be released on February 12, 2010.
According to E! Online, Taylor will be performing “Today Was A Fairytale” along with her famous song “You Belong With Me” at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 31.
