The popular country-pop singer Taylor Swift announced on a live webcast via Ustream on July 20, 2010 about the release of her new and third album entitled “Speak Now.” The concept album, which she has been working on for two years, consist of 14 songs. She has written all the songs on the album and the first single of the record is called “Mine” which will be released on August 16, 2010. “Mine” was about her tendency to run from love. “A sort of recent tendency” ,” as exactly what she said. It is also about finding someone who would make you believe in love and realized that it could work out.
“Next album will be out on October 25th,” Taylor said. She clapped her hands, stamped her feet, and exclaimed, “I’m so excited! I’m so-so excited!”
Taylor, who wears turquoise sundress and a glittery green bow headband, started the live chat by answering a question from one of her fans named Sarah from Wisconsin, who wants to know about how her summer’s going. Taylor said that her summer is going awesome and her summer has been 99% focused on the new record and 1% focused on the fact that she actually just moved in to her new place.
“Eversince they put up “Fearless” I’ve been writing for this record, and sort of conceptualizing it and putting it together in my head as to where I wanted it to be. I like to take a lot of time in between albums to work after next one and see what it is.”
Taylor said that “Speak Now” album is all about the things she wanted to tell but was unable to and each song/track is a different confession.
“So we did the same thing for Fearless, like you put two years in between it and it gives you enough time to… for me, I write everything that I lived. So you gotta give yourself a little bit of time to live a lot of things you can write about a lot of things. And, my only option is to write about what I’ve been through and what I’ve lived.”
After the successful release of “Fearless” in 2008, which won Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2010, Taylor’s new album is expected to be a big hit. What do you think?
