BATTLESHIP: RIHANNA JOINS ALEXANDER SKARSGARD AND TAYLOR KITSCH

Barbadian R&B recording artist, Rihanna, joins Alexander Skarsgard of True Blood and Taylor Kitsch of Friday Night Lights in the 2012 science fiction naval war film entitled “Battleship” which is said to be a $100 million project. She’s not just going to play a cameo role here but she has signed up to play the female lead role. This film is Rihanna’s first acting role so a lot of people who admired her performance on stage will be interested to see her in the big screen.

The film is based on a popular guessing game of the same name which is played by two people. “Battleship” will be directed by “Friday Night Lights” director Peter Berg and will feature music made by two-time Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman. Supposedly, the film will be released this year but for some reasons, it was moved to May 25, 2012.
