Opera Mini (Opera Mini 5) for iPhone was officially submitted to the Apple iPhone App store at 12:25 UTC on March 23, 2010. It’s been 1 day, 9 hours and 55 minutes, on Opera’s official countup page and Apple has not responded yet. Maybe it will take for about three days, a week or so before it will be approved by Apple. Since Opera Mini performs well, it could give Apple’s Safari a run for its money thus, Apple will just reject it.
Opera has launched a mini contest on their official countup page. You’ll just predict what date the Opera Mini will be approved by Apple and the closest answer will win a brand new Iphone.
Opera Mini offers better and fast browsing experience no matter what phone you have. It provides a brand-new look and feel in a class of its own with visually appealing graphics and smooth animations. Opera’s server-side compression and streamlined rendering engine allows Opera browser to load websites faster that any other mobile phone browsers. Because it compresses Web pages by up to 90%, it uses only a tenth of the bandwidth.
With Opera Mini, you can keep several pages open at the same time and you can easily switch between them using tabs.
