Miley Cyrus became a major talk again after a video leaked on Friday showing her taking hits from a bong. TMZ was exclusively got the video that shows how Miley enjoys the bong a week after her 18th birthday. Some believes that she hits the bong filled with marijuana but a recent report from People said that it is not marijuana but salvia.
Salvia divinorum complete name for salvia or commonly known as “Diviner’s Sage” is legal in majority of the states. It is a psychoactive plant which studies shows that can induce dissociative effects. The effects, which include speech and coordination loss, can be felt immediately and last for about 8 minutes. A former CA State Assemblyman named Anthony Adams was interviewed by TMZ and said that smoking salvia makes you do crazy things.
One of Miley’s friends shot the video and according to some reports, that video was somehow stolen and leaked online. How come the video was stolen that way? It seems that Miley really wanted to show the video not to tell the world that she is turning to a rebellious girl but to show her parents (her mom and dad) that she is greatly affected with their divorce. As shown on the leaked video, Miley seems to be having rough days. She said that she’s “a little bit of a bad trip” and seems like she’s doing it to forget her problems. If that’s her intention of smoking salvia, then, it is not really a good way because millions of kids who idolize her might interpret it wrongly.
Meanwhile, Miley’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, was saddened by the bong video scandal and showed his grief in his Twitter account. He said that he doesn’t like the video and he doesn’t know about that. He said:
“There is much beyond my control right now.”
