Miley Cyrus is going to step outside the Disney world, and before she leave her magical kingdom, she is now preparing for mature roles and beginning to adapt with other Hollywood actors and actresses. Miley has two films which are set to release this year. She stars in “The Last Song,” her first drama movie outside of Disney’s Hannah Montana franchise , which will be released in April and her cameo in Sex and the City sequel in May. She will have another big-screen project which her teen fans will surely love.
According to Variety, Miley will have a new project and she will be joining Demi Moore in a remake of a French movie entitled “LOL (Laughing Out Loud).” It is a 2008 French film directed by Lisa Azuelos, daughter of French singer Marie Laforet. This is all about the life of Lola or Lol for short, which was originally portrayed by 18 year-old French actress Christa Theret. It tells about her life in school, how she was dumped by her boyfriend named Arthur, and her life with her mother, Anne, which was originally portrayed by Bond girl Sophie Marceau. Anne is divorced and as a single mother, she finds it hard to start a new life with her daughter.
LOL is a plain movie about a mother and a daughter who search for happiness in life. Though the simplicity of the movie did not get critics’ attention and thus, received negative reviews, it went on to gross over $20 million and was considered as one of the blockbuster movie of 2009. It ranked no. 9 in the year 2009 and top 69 at French Box Office from the year 2000 to 2009.
