Who doesn’t know Caitlin Upton? Aside from being beautiful and sexy there’s something that makes her one of the unforgettable contestants in the beauty pageant history. She is best known for her response to a question that was asked of her during the Miss Teen USA 2007 pageant.
Friday Night Lights actress Aimee Teegarden asked Caitlin what she thought about the recent polls that shows a fifth of Americans could not locate the United States on a world map. Caitlin’s answer is another worst answer in pageant history. That Q&A moment was scattered in the web and even uploaded in Youtube which draws 39 million viewers.
“I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as, uh, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children.”

Well anything can happen in an impromptu question most especially if you’re in a certain beauty contest. You’ll feel nervous and your mind goes totally blank and the same thing happened to Caitlin. Now, Caitlin is on her way to a new adventure to redeem herself from the embarrassment of that pageant’s Q&A portion. She will compete together with her 28-year old boyfriend Brent Horne in The Amazing Race 16 which premieres on February 14.
Now, Caitlin was asked on what to do if she won the show’s $1 million prize. Of course she will not buy a map!
“Buy a Maserati and a round of drinks for my friends.”
