American Idol fourth season winner Carrie Underwood and alternate captain of NHL’s Ottawa Senators finally tied the knot on Saturday, July 10, at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, in the town of Greensboro, Georgia.
Underwood and Fisher were engaged on Dec. 20, 2009. Fisher gave Underwood a brilliant round diamond comes in at whopping five-plus carats, with an estimated value of close to 99, 570 GBP ($150,000).
According to E Online, there were about 250 guest in this elegant private ceremony which includes American Idol judges – Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, and hard-to-impress Simon Cowell. Aside from the American Idol judges, country singers like Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and of course Fisher’s teammates were all invited.
Carrie wore a Chantilly lace dress created for her by the famous fashion designer, Monique Lhuillier. Lhuillier also designed the bridesmaids’ dresses. With regards to the motifs, songs, and other wedding motifs, only People has the details so far.
