Platinum games will release the much-awaited single-player third person 3D video game “Bayonetta” in American and European locations this January 2010. Bayonetta will be available in North America on 5th day of January and on the 8th day in European nations.
This video game is created by Hideki Kamiya, the creator of Capcom’s “Devil May Cry” and “Viewtiful Joe.” The main character in this action game is “Bayonetta,” a witch who has been sleeping for 500 years, uses pistols and magical attacks to defeat angelic and warrior-like enemies. The game has 5 difficulty levels “Very Easy”, “Easy”, “Normal”, “Hard”, and “Non-Stop Climax, which has some similarities to “Devil May Cry.”
Set in a fictional city in Europe called “Vigrid,” Bayonetta, who didn’t know what happened in the past but only knows how to use her own magical abilities, will meet Jeanne her nemesis who uses four guns like what she does, Balder, Enzo, three men Rodin, and the young girl named Cereza. Her love interest named Luka exists in another dimension. Luka is a debonair human who briefly met Bayonetta as a kid. Even though Luka can’t see and touch Bayonetta, he can smell, hear her, and feels her presence when she’s nearby.
Japanese video game magazine published by Tokuma and Enterbrain, Inc. called Famitsu awarded Bayonetta’s Xbox 360 version 40 out of 40 while its PlayStation 3 version received 38 out of 40 because of the frame rate problems. This is the same problem that Ryan Clements of IGN found that’s why he gave the PS3 version an 8.2 only compare to Xbox 360 version which is 9.2.
